Experiences series

This series is an extension of the inspiration arising from the experience that resulted in the Perception before Awareness series.

When I was completing the latter paintings of Perceptions before Awareness, I realized I needed to move on up the nervous system to the formed experiences resulting from all those cosmic inputs.

Interestingly I was able to produce six of these experiences and then I hit a wall. The wall was that I started thinking too much about what I should be painting and how I should paint it. I had left the place within I prefer to paint. I had entered the “left brain”.

The place within me that holds my artistic creativity is one that is still, thoughtless, spontaneous, unplanned, responsive, embedded in the now, consciously unstructured, even unconscious.

I cannot create my art without going to that place within. I will come back to add to this series down the road as my interior directs me.
