Lines are one of the basic elements in art as well as one of the early forms of organization of what we see in your brains.

As I organize what I see, lines come first, then color. As far as forms are concerned, they are lines put together into a shape.

Since realizing this many years ago, I have become attracted to grasses. Not marijuana, but grasses of the family Gramineae.

When left alone to grow their full height, they sway with the wind. They show by bending what cannot be seen. In concert they create a rhythm of lines that is remarkably beautiful.

Those lines are engaging and .

In this series I combined many images of grasses together to blend an experience only expressed through images. These images are from a field that had a stream flowing through it. Some of the grasses bowed over the stream while others had their own forms.

These prints combine the lines of grasses and the feeling of delight walking through them.
